Equilar CEO Included on NACD’s List of 100 Most Influential Leaders in Corporate Governance

REDWOOD CITY, CA (July 31, 2017) — Equilar is proud to announce that Founder and CEO David Chun has been included in the 2017 Directorship 100 by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). The annual list honors the 100 most influential leaders in the boardroom and corporate governance community.

This year marks the sixth time Chun and Equilar have been on the Directorship 100 list in recognition for the board and executive data firm’s contributions to the industry. Its latest effort, Equilar BoardEdge—a database of more than public company executives and board members—responds to the increased demand for tools to support board assessment, evaluation and recruiting. Investors are becoming more and more attuned not only to what decisions are being made in the boardroom, but also who is making them. BoardEdge provides comprehensive data on these individuals, including their professional profiles and their connections to other top corporate leaders.

In addition, Equilar launched the Equilar Diversity Network (EDN) within BoardEdge in late 2016, a “registry of registries” that highlights board candidates from leading diversity organizations. EDN has 16 partners and counting, and is contributing to increased awareness of qualified professionals ready for board service.

In 2017, Equilar added a new feature to Insight, its executive compensation and shareholder engagement data platform. With the Incentive Plan Analytics Calculator (IPAC^SM), developed in partnership with the Center On Executive Compensation, companies can now access tools for Financial Metric Correlation and Incentive Plan Design to assess the robustness of metrics used in their incentive plans compared to the metrics used by their peers.

This year’s honorees will be recognized during a gala dinner at the 11th annual NACD Directorship 100 Gala November 29 in New York City.
