Lunch and Sailing on the Adirondack III (meet in hotel lobby)

Hosted by

Adirondack III was designed and constructed specifically for carrying passengers comfortably, which is uncommon for historic schooners. Due to the modern and innovative design of Adirondack III, guests will have room to sit and move around the boat.

Adirondack III measures 80 feet in length overall with a 16-foot beam. Her lines are modeled after 1890s style pilot schooners. Adirondack III is long and lean with a spoon bow, which helps her ply through the waters more effortlessly than the average schooner. An all-wooden vessel with a white glass overlay haul, Adirondack III is quite easy to pick out amongst her fellow schooners with her smooth clean lines. When you step aboard Adirondack III you’ll notice her clean teak decks and brilliantly varnished mahogany rails. When your focus takes to the sky above you, you will find two towering Douglas Fir masts and nearly 2,000 square feet of sail stretching to the sky. Adirondack III is sure to amaze you and your guests with her majestic beauty.

Sail Boston Harbor aboard this beautiful schooner and take in the sights of Boston in style. Lunch will be hosted at Bostonia Public House prior to sailing. Transportation will be provided from the Westin Copley .Place. Space is limited to 40 participants.

Effective Design of Pay Programs & Pay Ratio Update

Presented by

Join us for an in-depth and engaging discussion about the effective design – and real world challenges – of executive pay programs. In the second part of our program, you’ll hear what a variety of organizations are doing to prepare their pay ratio calculations.

WorldatWork has assembled a panel of experts in the field of executive compensation to share their experiences and insights. Together you will explore the challenges and triumphs in designing executive pay programs that meet the challenges of today’s business and regulatory environments. Topics of discussion will include:

  • Part 1

    • Proxy analysis: Proxies have become so important, inspiring many sensational headlines. How can they be so different while still meeting the minimum requirements? What is the rationale behind what organizations report? Join us as we explore some effective design via proxy statements.

    • Short-term incentive design: Short-term incentive design and the challenges in choosing the right robust goals and timeframes for measurement that will result in sustained shareholder value over time.

      • Irv Becker, National Practice Leader, Executive Compensation, Korn Ferry Hay Group

      • Stephen Eliseo, Director, Executive Compensation, Johnson & Johnson

      • Blair Jones, Managing Director, Semler Brossy

      • Britt Wittman, Director, Executive Compensation, Intel Corp.

  • Part 2

    • The latest update regarding WorldatWork’s Pay Ratio Workgroup. The workgroup comprises representatives from more than a dozen companies who meet to discuss, collaborate and innovate with others who are calculating pay ratio, and to share how their companies are thinking about this work.

      • Cheryl Bierwagen, Senior Director, Executive Compensation, Nike Inc.

      • Stephen Eliseo, Director, Executive Compensation, Johnson & Johnson

      • Blair Jones, Managing Director, Semler Brossy
