Wayne Smith Realized Over $150 Million as Community Health Systems CEO

Community Health Systems announced the transition of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Wayne Smith to Executive Chairman of the Board, effective January 1, 2021. Mr. Smith has been CEO since April 1997. From 2006 to 2019, Mr. Smith realized $150,192,801 in total compensation.

On January 1, 2021, Tim Hingtgen will assume the role of CEO. Currently, Mr. Hingtgen serves as President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of the Company.
