UnitedHealth Group Incorporated announced the retirement of Chief Executive Officer David S. Wichmann, effective February 2, 2021. Mr. Wichmann has been CEO of UnitedHealth since September 1, 2017. From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Wichmann realized $156,765,148 in total compensation.
On February 3, 2021, Sir Andrew P. Witty assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Witty was previously the President of UnitedHealth Group and Chief Executive Officer, Optum. His annual target compensation is as follows:
