CVS Health Corporation announced the transition of President and Chief Executive Officer Larry Merlo to Strategic Advisor , effective February 1, 2021. Mr. Merlo has been CEO since March 1, 2011 and will retire from the company on May 31, 2021. From 2011 to 2019, Mr. Merlo realized $223,025,035 in total compensation as CEO.
On February 1, 2020, Karen S. Lynch will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. She is currently Executive Vice President, CVS Health and President, Aetna. Her annual target compensation will be as follows:
