Equilar's 2011 Executive Stock Ownership Guidelines Report examines trends in ownership and holding requirements in the Fortune 100 from 2008 to 2010. Some of our findings:

• Ownership policies continue to rise: 88.4% of companies disclosed an executive stock ownership policy in 2010, compared to 87.4% in 2009.
• Ownership guidelines and holding requirements both increased from 2009 to 2010.
• 80.8% of executive ownership guidelines define targets as a multiple of base salary.
• Only 10.3% of companies count stock options towards ownership requirements.
