Biography
David M. Ratcliffe, age 61, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. As Southern Company's Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and President, Mr. Ratcliffe is uniquely qualified to serve on the Board. As an employee with more than 39 years of service, Mr. Ratcliffe understands the electric utility business, the regulatory structure, and other industry-specific matters that affect Southern Company. He is also a Director of CSX Corporation where he currently serves on the Executive, and Operations and Public Affairs Committees and as Chair of the Finance Committee.
