Biography
Mr. Logue retired from his role as Chief Executive Officer of State Street, effective March 1, 2010, and currently serves as the non-executive Chairman of the Board of State Street. He was appointed to the role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in June 2004. This role entailed responsibilities over all aspects of State Street's business, governance, operations, financial matters, strategy, regulatory matters and employees. Mr. Logue joined State Street in 1990 as Senior Vice President and head of investment servicing for U.S. mutual funds. He was elected Vice Chairman in 1999, Chief Operating Officer in 2000 and President in 2001. As President and Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for overseeing State Street's investment servicing, securities finance and investment research and trading activities, as well as information technology. Mr. Logue, a native of Boston, is an active member of the community. Since 2001, he has been a director of the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership, a nonprofit, low-income housing organization. Since 2007, he has been a director of the Institute of Contemporary Art, and since 2006 he has been a director of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. Since 2006, he has also served as a member of the board of overseers of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Boston College.
